  1. 2010 shooting goals, April

One more UHS 40 with the 6mmPPC, for a total of 6 for the year. The 105 Berger VLDs have really brought a bit of life back to that barrel. Didn't try any production half scale this month, and only a 38 on UFS.

  2. A Year In The Life Of A Steel Shooter

I'm going to give this blog thing a try. Not that anyone cares what a nobody like me does, but it might be fun to keep track of things for this year.

After a long winter, our first Friday practice day, March 19, turned out fantastic, especially for March weather near Cincinnati. Sunny skies, a bit breezy and 68 degrees!

It felt good to see the range again, after a 5-month break.

  3. 2010 shooting goals, March

Two more UHS 40s this month, for 5 on the year. 38 in production half scale, and nothing in UFS. The two 40s were shot with the H-S in 6PPC while using 105 Berger VLDs for the first time. I was ready to rebarrel this gun but it still seems to have a little life left to it.

  4. 2010 goal Feb update

I managed one more UHS 40 in Feb. Only a 38 in UFS, and primer issues with the 30 Herrett in production half scale.

  5. Thanks 54914

We had a Valentine's Day match today that was rather soggy (imagine that during an Oregon winter!), but Larry (54914) sure added to the pleasure of the day by bringing a big pot of chili & a pan of cornbread! The Standing shooters were certainly well anchored after lunch! Thanks Larry!
