Shooting Goals for 2010

Rate this Entry
For the past five years or so I have set personal goals for myself in silhouette. Some I've reached, some I haven't, and some I've actually extended the goal a bit. Last year my goals were to shoot 20 perfect scores in UHS, 1 perfect score on half scale targets using my production gun, and 1 perfect score in UFS. I ended up with 21 40s in UHS, but couldn't get past 39 in UFS, and a 38 in production half scale.

This year I'm setting my goals at:

22 perfect scores in UHS, and at least one in UFS and production half scale.

I really think everyone can benefit by setting a goal for themselves, be it a certain score, shooting a particular gun a certain amount of times, or making X number of matches. I think it makes the game just that much more fun.

I'm on my was this year with two 40's in UHS, and a 39 with the production gun in UHS.

    Scott,

You are one heck of a Revolver shooter. Consider adding that to your mix of UHS/USF 40's.

In 25 years in the game there are some goals I have yet to obtain but I keep trying. I haven't given up on them yet!

    Steve,

You've talked me into it. I'm not on par with people like Ted Z, Mishler , or Lon, but it can only improve my revolver shooting.

I remember one time that Tom Hull shot through the Half-Scale targets with his Unlimited Standing gun. I believe he fired a 20. Now, that's a challenge!

PS: Looking forward to reading how the revolver works on HS.
