Barry Daste

Long-time Louisiana IHMSA member Barry Daste passed away on Saturday Jan.30, 2010. He was 66 years old. I met Barry during a foray into airgun Field Target shooting in 1989. We became good friends and he later joined IHMSA and shot with us regularly at Ascension Silhouette in Gonzales LA. He attended several IHMSA Internationals as well. Barry was a great fellow, and one of the most even-tempered people I have ever met. He loved life and it showed in everything he did. He was a retired college professor, and held a PhD in social work. Thank you Barry, for the times we shared shooting and for being a great friend. Hopefully I will see you again !! ---- Philip Braud

Barry was indeed one of the good guys. No matter the circumstances, Barry could always be counted on for a smile. He will certainly be missed.
