Lon shot a Savage Striker in SB U at the 2008 West Coast. He came in second behind Scott (Scooter the Shooter) Mann. They both fired 60's. Scott had 14 shoot-off targets to Lon's 13. He fired another 60 with the same pistol in 2009 coming in fifth.

    Hey, Steve!!
Was Lon's Savage Striker stock, or did it have a custom barrel??
Of course, Lon could shoot good scores if it had a piece of water pipe for a barrel!!

    Hey Melvin,

As I recall, the barrel was white; so, I think it was PVC.
Actually, I believe it was stock. Come visit June 15-19 this year & you can ask him personally.

    Hey Melvin,

You're one lucky guy! With this current bunch of folks in DC & BO in the White House, I believe I'm on a declining income!

Our club has both rim and center fire silhouette shooters. Allot of T/C pistols with match barrels of all calibers are in use, plus some exotic brands. The scopes are rifle & pistol of all sizes and powers. The top CF shooter uses iron sights. I have a contender with a rifle 4-12AO scope. Could use a 4-16. My 2.5-8 Pistol scope is no good over 4-5x and is too hard to center. My point is it is wide open, except for barrel length, but allot of fun for both young and old.

    Hey Shane,
Let me say it like this. If you find an Anschutz Exemplar and would rather have a TC with a 14" Match barrel, let me know and we can make a trade. I have two Annies, one with the 10" barrel and two stage trigger and then one of the 64P's, that I had Mike Dewey convert to a mid grip. I also have the TC mentioned and I don't shoot it much. I love the Anschutz and their accuracy. Oh yah, mine won the SB UAS last year at the WCC and came in second this year. I missed the shoot off, not the gun. It also won me the S. Dakota state Championship this year in UAS. And that's the stock factory stock gun. Hope this helps you with your decision.
