I had the opportunity to review Crosman's new 1700P Silhouette PCP Pistol. The article will appear in Gun Week then be reprinted in the IHMSA News. Once that happens, I'll post it here.
I fired several 5 shot groups at 18 yards to test its accuracy. The two best are attached here. I fired these groups by clamping the pistol in a vise mounted on a shooting bench at our indoor range.
The pistol retails for $399 making it Unlimited. But, it is 2/3 the price of the least expensive PCP pistol I could find on the Internet. I like it so much that I purchased the pistol. I found a used scuba tank locally and picked it up for $100 (including a new 5 year certification). Air Hog as the DIN to Foster adaptors.
The only 4 things this pistol required to make it very shootable were (1) a trigger job (Doesn't every IHMSA gun need one?), (2) a LPA MIM rear sight, (3)RB target grips (the factory grips are very narrow IMHO, and (4) a trigger shoe.
I have attached 2 5 shot groups showing the pistol's accuracy. I measured across the widest point of the group & subtracted one caliber.

I have always appreciated the ease of shooting a PCP pistol but stayed away from them due to the cost of the tank & adaptor. With this pistol being so affordable, it made buying the tank & fill adaptor easy.
