Thread: Ruger Redhawk Question

    Default Ruger Redhawk Question

I picked up this Redhawk about a month ago ..... mostly because it's "different". The barrel has been replaced and a Wichita sight rail added. The gun is a pleasure to shoot and has a double action trigger to die for. I'm curious about the barrel/barrel weight assembly as there are no markings on the gun as to might have performed the work. I might try it in Big Bore US if I can hold it up long enough .... tips the scales at 5-1/2#. If anyone has any info/comments, I would surely like to hear them.

That's a pretty cool looking setup! I've seen pics of one other Ruger pretty similar to that, but have no idea who did the work.
It looks like the hammer spur was reshaped too. That square, blocky stock spur has always been my personal peeve regarding the DA Rugers. Yours looks like a nice improvement.
