Thread: What cross hairs in Leupold?

Default What cross hairs in Leupold?

I just bought a new Leupold 2.5X-8X scope for my 1/2 size XP in 6BR. I'm not happy with the duplex. I find the fine hairs too thick and the thick ends too close together. Any suggestions as to which one to choose? What do you have that you like?

well, I have not had a problem with the duplex reticle in my Leupold 2.5 x 8 scopes. You could perhaps get the fine crosshairs - but stay away from the target dot reticle ! - not a good choice for steel (my opinion !)

I agree with Philip. I find the duplex reticle works well in everything from BB to UASFS, HS & AIR. I think a thin reticle will be lost on the target. I know at one time Leupold with not put a thin reticle in the pistol scope due to recoil. I don't know if they have changed their position on that or not.

Right you are, Leupold will not change reticles in handgun scopes.
