It is with heavy heart that I now report to the IHMSA family the passing of a IHMSA stalwart; Lt. Col Steven G. Riddle, Ret., past president of IHMSA, past Region 2 Director and my very close friend, brother and shooting/traveling partner, departed this life on Thursday December 15, 2011 after a health battle he was unable to conquer, this being one of the few battles he has lost. I express my most profound sympathy to the Riddle family in this time of their and our loss.

Steve was most recently of Huffman, TX, but has spent IHMSA time in Region 4 and Region 2 and he was known and loved in those and other places. More than a few of you in IHMSA now have one or more of the guns of Steve Riddle; he changed guns regularly, especially after working up the perfect loads and shooting perfect scores with them. Everyone who obtained one of his "cast offs" can attest to the great deal and great gun they received. Steve was a fierce competitor, but was without equal in his willingness to help others shooters in anyway possible. Steve pushed the limits of guns, ammo and accuracy to take it to another level of competition and accuracy; however he was as gracious in defeat as he was in victory.

IHMSA and myself have lost a true Friend

When more information is available, I will share it with you.

Rest Well my Brother,

Robert L. Walker
