Does anyone out there have any experience with this cartridge? For some reason I've been wanting to try it for BB standing........... no, I don't lay down, to old, to fat, and to crippled <LOL>. I have no idea where to start ......... I'm thinking somewhere around 1100-1200 fps with a 150gr FMJ. If anyone has any words of wisdom they surely would be appreciated. In respect for the site administrator's request to not post any load data here, if you have any please PM me. Thanks.......................

I have used an encore in (30x39 =308) for big bore shooting Creedmore with 150gr over H332 with good results. Round likes full case density with this powder. Also very deadly on real hogs. Never rang a ram, missed a few but never rang one. I had pruchased some 165gr bullets but have not got around to testing them. Some folks have said to much for contender and some say its alright. ??? Very easy load for and plenty bullets to choose from. [7.62x39 bullets are .311]

MOA can make you one in 30x39(same catridge but using .308 bullets) I had one for a long time before I went back to my favorite caliber - .25 - I had Richard make a barrel in 25x39. Finally got some 40x40 with it.

Thanks so far fellas........ I just received my new Bullberry Super14 in .308 bore. You're right about the massive amount of bullets available, that's one reason that I thought this would be fun to play with.

I know that Steve Riddle (former IHMSA President) fired a 7.62x39 in BB standing. I own an MGM barrel chambered in this, but other than surplus ammo fired for practice I have not done much with it. I will say it does appear to be an accurate round and has a very manageable recoil.
