As we all know, this website is not in any way an official IHMSA site nor supported by them (and probably not even known to any of the officers/board members). For that reason I cannot verify the accuracy of things like your name, state, IHMSA region number, etc. There are features within the website that are not yet in use that will utilize these fields in the future, and would be particularly useful to active IHMSA members. For example, any user can create a “Group” and either make it public for anyone to join, or make it private, by invitation only. Then bulk messages can be sent to the group. That way all IHMSA Region 2 members, for example, can be notified of a date change for the Georgia State Championship Match. In order for that to work you must state that you are an active member, include a number and accurate region number. If, on the other hand, you are not a member, you probably do not want to receive additional emails that you would consider SPAM.
Please take a look at your profile using the Settings link on the top right. If nothing else please check all the fields in the Edit Profile page to make sure they are accurate. By doing so you will be included in the full feature set as new things come online. Some of the profile information is of course optional, like a Biography, Interests, etc. Also note that you can set the privacy option for your date of birth. Some people do not care – so people prefer to take more precautions from a security standpoint. I leave that up to each person to select.
