Region 2 Big Bore and ½ Scale Championships, Lincolnton, GA

Hey Guys,

The Region 2 Bog Bore and ½ Scale Championships will be held at Little River Gun Club in Lincolnton, GA on Labor Day weekend. No one has stepped up to host the Small Bore Championships. If any club want to host this match please contact me.

Hey Allen - glad to have you with us. Sorry about editting your post, but the ALL CAPS THING just bothers me. Nothing personal. Don't worry though, I just added some software that will prevent it in the future. Hehehe....

On a different note - what small bore ranges are in Region 2 and active these days? Wasn't this at Ron's range (Cherokee Gun Club) last year?

doug there was no 22 regional last year.we had the big bore and 1/2 scale at our range again. there's quite a few small bore ranges around region 2. allen

That's great to hear. I've already made my plans to attend. Camp 35isit will be set up somewhere. I just hope the cows leave me alone.

The Official dates for the Region 2 BB & HS Championship are: Sept. 3 - 6, 2010
Will provide you with addn'l information in the very near future. We will have pre-registration, but no money is required to pre-register. Registration will assist in scheduling HS; which will only be offered during the latter part of each day; except for Monday [9/6].

Thanks to Robert, Ron and Melvin for taking on these two Regional matches (BB/SB) this year. It's a lot of work, but a good time. Ron's range is always in great shape - and Robert and Melvin just rebuilt the Lincolnton range for those that have not been there in a while (I don't think the cow landmines are any fewer though...). Thanks guys!

Hey - are both of these matches going to be "dual" championships -- Region 2 and Georgia state championships ??

Not sure about Ron's SB/FP Match; but the BB/HS at LRGC will be a dual championship. However, only Georgia residents can compete for the Georgia Championship [closed]; if there is enough interest, we could allow non-resident entries. This might involve a separate small fee [non-resident] to cover the additional trophies that would be required.

I prefer to call the cow landmines..fertilizer!! It makes wonderful fertilizer for your tomato plants!! Just ask Ron. A shovel will be provided for all that want to take some fertilizer home with them.
Greg, if you camp at the range, you can shovel all the fertilizer you want!! No charge!!

Yes the SB/FP match at Cherokee Gun Club (Ron's range) will also be the GA State Championships.
It is happening on Memorial Day weekend, BTW.

I like Phillip hope to be there. Lost my job after 16 years at the same place. In this economy may still be unemployed in September. Even the Internationals are in doubt at this time. Have had a good interview with a company. If I get that job they promised I could be off for the regional.

Sorry to hear that, Greg. My daughter lost her job Dec.31, but was lucky enough to find another one, even better, after a couple months.
I'll pray that things work out for you.
Would not be the same at a Regional if you were not there.

Darn ! Sorry Greg ! I lucked up and found a part-time job at the local Ford dealership here in Bainbridge. The owner and I came to an agreement that we both were happy with, and I am loving it !! Not rolling in $$, but, then again, I am currently debt free. I hope that you find something soon, old friend !

Melvin (or anyone), quick - what is the address for the Lincolnton Range that I can put in my GPS? I know it's something C.E. Norman Rd. 33 something if I remember correctly...
